De Lofklank
De Lofkank is a 2nd Section brass band from Ureterp, the Netherlands.
When I joined De Lofklank on bass trombone in 1997, I was literally thrilled. The band was conducted by Rieks van der Velde and, besides a very good reptuation, had a marvellous trombone section, with Geert Bruinsma and Hielke Bosma.
During the time that I played at the band, I learned a lot from the conductor, who gave me private music lessons. The band won 4 championships during that time.
I left the band in June 2000, since I moved to Germany and could not maintain the number of bands I played in.
